Armed and Creepy

As Screw Comics! #3 comes together like Voltron I had to throw in a comic about the creepy burglar. It's a story that's happened recently here in Houston, a young guy burglarized a home and just before he left he was staring at the baby in the crib for a minute or so. It was caught on tape and afterward everybody thought it was sooooo creepy. Granted it may be creepy but he didn't hurt the kid, and he left. As a deep thinker myself I had a different perspective on the event, and I drew it up in this comic, which is gonna make it in this issue.

Also, I'm trying out some new paper so I drew this.

I wanted to draw something detailed so I whipped some Magitek armor, you know, of Final Fantasy lore.

The new book is almost done. Just gotta obtain some old layout files from an old burnt out computer to lay it out. Plus I gotta contact my printer and let them know it's coming. Moving along!

Today

NEW zine is ready and debuts at Zine Fest today. It's 28 pages of comic snips and sketchbook oddities all assembled together in an analog format. For those that don't really think they can live without a phone or computer that means hanging around the copy machine copying, enlarging, and shrinking images and scans right outta my sketchbook. Fun shit. I guess once I started outsourcing my printing I kinda mentally ruled out the whole zine-making process. Well, yesterday I fell in love with it again. There's something about a hand-made, stapled book that's so gratifying to hold as well as seek out and own. I've made an edition of 25. Get'em while they last!

Pure Luck

click for detail, duh!
Came across this article online today. This homeless man stands to inherit a ton of money, undisclosed of course, but enough to carry him for the rest of his life. Not a bad deal. Some people just land the big breaks. This lil' strip was just a joke; what if along with being homeless he was also mentally inept, and as a result he just burned his cash to stay warm.
Also, did ya catch the nod to my dad?

Bee Stingers

Here's a funny one pager I stumbled upon in my stack. It explains the tequila bottle full of dead wasps that sits atop my fridge. From the perspective of an innocent wasp that just happens to make his way into my house and can't figure out how to get out. I always thought that the last five were just search sentries out looking for the first that got lost. They kept sending "their best men" to find the missing only to never return. And they sit atop my fridge, where they became the amusing story I tell today. And, no, I didn't wanna post a pic of the said jar. You'll just have to come over and see the shit for yourself.

It Happened in a Flash

True Story. This happened to me Tuesday.

Don't know what happened to that dog, as I haven't returned to the seen. He survived, so therefore he probably hobbled off. What would you have done in this situation?
