In Flux

I thought I'd squeeze one more post into this month before it runs out on me. After that I'm jettin' to an island paradise with the fam to kick it in the sun for a week.
The first is a preliminary sketch for a new t-shirt design for my Certified Barber homie. Although we're taking the idea into a new direction we still have this one on hold for future use. I threw this up on Twitta last week, and if ya follow ya already know. And if ya don't follow, then yer probably using twitta wrong.

ah yeah, how sexy is that?

This next one is a quick commish that came in some weeks ago, and I knocked it out as quickly as it came. He gotta deal on the price, too. Basically, it's an anime caricature of the birthday boy to be unveiled to him at his party as a present. Hmmm, anime. I don't really draw anime. It's just big eyes, sharp nose, and a small mouth. But, if your character's black then all those characteristics are moot. So, I just drew him like how I draw any character, really, threw him in traditional anime and manga garb, and just enlarged his pupils as the finishing touch.

 fiftybucks.

And that made for a very prosperous July. Coming up soon, as soon as I finish the colors, more sequentials!

All Repent...

...cuz I just finished another comic! Remember when I went to Dallas last February and did some sketches of some original characters for a kid and his uncle? Refresh yer memory here. Anyway, we stayed in contact and they wrote a comic with said characters, and contacted 'Yours, Truly' to bring it to life. And the last few weeks I worked hard to do so, completing a press-ready format of it last night.
As always, I post select pages of the sequentials to show you how it's looking, and this is how it looks. Be sure to peep the color wrap-around cover spread; like, click on it to see the full amount of detail.
I'll be sure to post a link of where to buy it as soon as it becomes available. But for now, feast yer eyes!

New $tore

Check it out! Lately I've been fiendin' to create a new online store type situation. I have tons of pieces I take to conventions as well as other art shows I do around town. However, to list everything here the old-fashioned way is such a daunting task that I never even bothered to even TRY to do it. But, deep in my head I knew I had to find a way to keep an updated, comprehensive list of my work for sale that way I could move it out and steadily make room for new work. Enter the whole online store idea. Found this website, eCrater that'll host all my wares and charge me nothing to do so. It made it easy to catalog each and everything for sale I just jumped right in. And so now, even if you follow this site and are familiar with my work you will be blown away at the vast amount of work that I've NEVER posted here or anywhere. Not only that but everything I have up is MAD AFFORDABLE, from $5 to $40.
Never before seen original drawings, watercolors, sketches, prints, etc. now available! And this is only the beginning. I'll be constantly updating it with new work, prints, and t-shirts as I create them.
It is true: the days of coding everything the old-fashioned way are gone.
